Greetings,

I picked up a pair of demo Triton Threes, and I was wondering if you could help me identify the exact models?

They sound wonderful!

They don't say "Three Plus" on the back, but they do have the newer Blue LED status light, causing some confusion. (I thought only the newer "Plus" models had the blue light?)

The serial numbers are BKHA C3 0516 05207, and BKHA C3 0516 02498.

According to the Sandy Gross interview here .....

.....Goldenear started shipping the Three Plus model first Quarter of 2016, looks like these date codes make these older than that. They did come in the three plus boxes, but do NOT have "Plus" labeled on the back of the amp section, just the newer blue light.

I've contacted Goldenear through their support line a couple weeks ago and directly messaged this moderator...no answers yet.

It's a bit confusing, but the first production run of Triton Three+ didn't always say "Plus" on the back panel. However, the "Plus" version has always had the blue LED and the original Triton Three always had a green LED.

Yours with the blue LED are the "Plus" version.

Thank you. I meant to say my date codes look to be AFTER to the announcement at CES in 2016, so this all makes sense

I'm delighted to have the latest three plus. I'm looking to pick up a pair of like new used Ones and rotate the Three plus to the rears, and my rotate my rear pair of supersat 60c's to Atmos on a vaulted ceiling. (Paired with my Marantz 7007 it all sounds great right now). I saw like new pair of Ones go on ebay Friday for just $2250.00 (eBay item number:293285342493) , so there are good deals to be had in the secondary market.

I'd really like the One.R series, but that would run me at least twice as much in the current market. :-( Oh well, I'll get what I'm willing to pay for as the old adage goes...

If you find a pair of T1, confirm with the seller that they will be packed properly in original packaging and shipped together on a pallet. For speakers this large there is a very good chance of damage if not packed and shipped by people who know what they're doing. Make sure the seller provides enough shipping insurance, too.

Please know, too, that the warranty is not transferable so is valid to the original purchaser only.
