I waited 40 years to get a really good system. I started with the Rotel RB-1590 and RC-1590. I purchased these to power a pair of Bose 901s. While at Audio Advice I listened to a pair of B&W speakers and I knew the Bose had to go. I hit the internet to start a search for a pair of speakers under 10K. Every search kept pointing to the GE Triton ones. I called Ivan at Audio Advice and set up a time to audition the Ones. I was blown away and made the purchase. I was very happy with the Ones until Sandy decided to put out the TREFS. I called Ivan again to set up a side by side comparison of the TREF and the Ones. I went home with the TREFs... This system blows me away every time I listen to it. I am trying to decide if I want to go check out turntables. I really like the convenience of Tidal and CDs. I also purchased the Sony 900F. This was my first smart TV. I run most everything from the TV most of the time through the optic cable. Thanks to the Goldenear team for making my dream come true...

Congrats, I think I know how you feel. I have been piecing together random speakers and components most of my life. I always believed that since I was at least buying separates I was going in the right direction. The problem was I never had a system that was entirely matched or current. And then there were the speakers. I managed to grab some Snell C1v's 20 years ago and they seemed to have a good reputation and cult following but they were never actually made for HT and finding a matching center was impossible. My surrounds were Boston Acoustic bookshelfs that I've had since 1986... My Parasound amp and controller were always as good as I needed but over time the controller became too outdated for features and connectivity.
I've recently placed an order for and entire GE package : T-ones, t5's, ref ctr, 650's as well as the Anthem avm60 and an Emotive XPA-5 amp. the excitement of finally getting a great system is keeping me up at night.
I actually haven't even heard the T-ones yet. I auditioned the T2+ in a horrible room. It was too small, hard wood floors, open behind and to the sides, and the speakers were much too close together. Despite all of that it was obvious how much I liked their sound and knew their potential. After reading a several posts from others who were choosing between the One's and 2+, all of who were able to audition them side by side and then chose the Ones', I too went with the One's. It was probably best that I never did demo the Ref or T1R as I might not be as happy and I am already over budget. It's great to read so many posts from owners of the GE product as well as top reviewers stating just how much they love these speakers. Now just 4 more days until mine arrive !
