In my seemingly never-ending experiments with my audio system, I have now rearranged my Golden Ear speakers once again -- this time to create "A Wall of Golden Ear Sound". I have all of my Golden Ear speakers in front of me - arranged across the front of my room and with each pair driven by a separate AV receiver.
From Left to right: A Golden Ear Triton Seven, a Golden Ear SuperSat 3C on a shelf, and a Golden Ear Triton One -- then, the second Triton One, the second SuperSat 3C, and finally, the second Triton Seven. On the two sides, parallel with my listening position, are my two ancient Altec Lansing Bolero units, driven by a separate 4th AV receiver.
Because each pair of speakers is driven by a separate AV receiver, I can adjust the volume levels for each pair independently. The result is truly a 180 degree wall of sound, extending from directly left of my listening position, all the way around to directly right of my listening position.
My Paradigm sub-woofer is on the rear of the room on my left and my Klipsch sub-woofer is on my left.
I have just finished this rearrangement and I am still "auditioning" the setup with some of my favorite music. As I type, I am listening to "Love for Three Oranges", suite from the ballet by Sergei Prokofiev.
What fun!!!
Best,
Art
