Hi Guys,
My New XPA-5 arrived yesterday. I only managed to hook it up this morning. WoW!!! I did not expect it to be that heavy. It's damn heavy. Hope my cabinet is up to the task. I also picked up matching Emitova XRCA-1 Connects.
My first listen was very surprising, a joyous surprise. Vocals were so much more dynamic. It sounded like I turned the volume up higher than normal. Bass is nice and tight and plays quite deep at times thanks to the 10 Hz frequency. Mind you I have only listened to it at a moderate listening volume. I am loving it and hope it gets better the more I listen.

I am not disappointed in choosing this amplifier over the Yamaha MX-A5000. A great choice on your recommendations!!!
It also looks really sexy....
Cheers!!!

Wow Fried One, Good one!!!!!
I am so happy for you!!! We definitely want to hear more once things are well broken in.
I feel sure you will hear a difference one you have 100-200 hours playing with speakers and amps.
And during this listening time, you will probably find ways to dial in the Triton 2s better too, placement, distances, toe-in, and the sub volume.
Hours and hours of family fun, and you will just be getting started!!!!!
Enjoy the music, enjoy the ride, and please report back,
God Bless,
Wayne

I have talked to the "upper ends" at Emotiva, and they feel 15-20 hours will be sufficient for break in, with no real improvement after that time. I believe the thought of extended break in, in regards to better sound, is just wishful thinking on our part.

Very sexy. She sounds pretty groovy. The volume of the vocals is the biggest noticeable improvement I think. Sounds so much fuller.
I'm enjoying it so far even though I have not had lots of listening time. Will put a few hours on her this weekend for sure.
Thanks man,
Cheers!!!

Hi Wayne,
Thank you for sharing in my joy. Technology has such a huge impact in our lives. Music definitely enriches it in a very positive way. I do like to tinker and always trying new things. I will keep tweaking to try to get it to sound better.
I am curious to hear if there will be a change in sounds after she is broken in. Anthem says 15-20 hours as told by Emotiva.
Thank you. Will listen for any subtle changes as I enjoy.
Take care,
Cheers.
