We really don't use plastic disposable stuff much, and none if we can help it.
To answer your question, yes, I wash the spoon or the dishwasher does. Here is a pic of our dishwasher(s).

I will pony up with info here, but sure hoping you will tell us about yourself and your family too.
This is a second family for me. I have grown daughters in the states, lovely women. They are married and off the payroll, thankfully.
My wife here is an awesome woman, Jeen and had a daughter already, Gypsy (13). Gypsy plays guitar in our church worship team and Jeen sings. She will try to learn to play the piano after we get this big house building project finished, and I hope to learn the bass after I retire. We have room at our house for "care groups" as our little church calls them, and we hope to be able to have that in our home soon.
I am holding on 39 and Jeen at 29, no more birthdays for either of us.
