For the first time ever, I listened to this cd and enjoyed it, really. The Audience Forte 3 PC has transformed the bass into a highly detailed and totally subversive listening experience. The T Refs scream Class A!

Richard Elliot/City Speak (1996) -- Walk the Walk

This morning after picking up my McIntosh MC152 I decided to do some "Tune Shopping"... Nice well rounded sound with great bass on Elliot's - City Speak.

Hey Bro Anthem, still not unboxing the MC152 until the 4th of July??????

Hey Wayne, in brief, the reviews are right. The sound is outstanding and better than any other DAC I've heard. Very different from the ones with DSPs in them (pretty much all but the resister ladder ones). Someone not really in the reviews but quite excellent is that it makes lower res music sound like higher res, and takes the digital sound out of digital sources. I'm going to be trying a solid state amp instead of my Rogue tube hybrid to see just how much it does on its own vs. what the tube amp is contributing.
Will report back. But in the mean time I give it 8 thumbs up...
