Brian Culbertson/After Hours (1996) -- Daybreak

After 10 days of listening to the Anthem Statement P2 Amp/Oppo 205 -- Audience Forte 3 PC combo, I'm quite happy with the sound and really don't need a new amp. Problem is...the McIntosh MC152 arrived today, and I will be picking it up this weekend. Still plan to wait til July 4th to have my first listen. Should be a wonderful 4th. McIntosh/T Refs/Fireworks...:)
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

It occurred to me that I hadn't seen anything golden-ear-y in a while. Checked my spam box and sure enough, gmail decided these forums were spam. Arg.

Anyway, hit a bunch of "not spam" buttons so hopefully they'll show up in my inbox.

Been a while since I posted. Upgraded a bit of gear in my sound system so doing a lot of listening these days. Took the jump to a separate DAC after reading the reviews of the Kitsune Level 3 edition of the Holo Audio Spring DAC. Very happy as it sounds superb!

Been doing some music discovery via some posts at quora.com. Especially this one:
www.quora.com/What-are-albums-in-which-a...f-the-songs-are-good

Listening to a Paul McCartney album I never paid attention to (Chaos and Creation in the Backyard) - featuring Paul playing all instruments. Very good sounding and some very nice tracks as well.

Hey Peter, great hearing from you again!!!!
Glad you are back.
And I briefly looked at the DAC page, but did not read all yet. Can you give us a report on what you are hearing, what improvements it brings? Pricey and I see it is R2R, which I have heard/read is a good thing. Do they make a multi-channel one? That is the ONLY DAC I would consider, and I know they can't be that hard to make, since my OPPO and my XMC-1 both have multi-channel DACs in them.
The only ones I have read about though are crazy expensive.
Will check out the music suggestions too, thanks.
Don't be a stranger.
God Bless,
Wayne

Found Agnes Obel from the list Peter posted, and it sounds so good, and several others, that I will order the CD.

Thanks Peter,
