Relaxing day today, minus the trip this morning to the gym at 0500. We took a trip to our local music store and I picked up Nels Cline's Lovers. Interesting album. Very relaxing music that seems to touch a few genres. SQ is pretty solid as this is a Blue Note release.

Mingus Ah Um is definitely one of my favorite albums. I'd been keeping an eye out for a vinyl version at my local music store for some time. Yesterday, they had 2 versions. I opted for the 180 gram vinyl version of the original album and skipped the remastered version. I'm not sure I always like the results of a remaster and this album is pretty clean as is. I'm not disappointed at all! Sounds great!

Moon Hooch - What can I say? Pulverizing, hypnotic, upbeat, toe tappin, bass & beat intense, with a hugh helping of Surely, Goodness, and Mercy. My head won't stop bopping and my knees are a shakin...If you hate having a Good time, then this music is not for you. On the other hand, if a head boppin good time is what you're after, by all means, throw this one on your Source of choice and crank her up. Rick...55db will not suffice here...90+ dB will titalize your tootsies and shake your Groove Thang.

Highly Recommended...Good Stuff.

Thanks, Anthem and pbgalvin. I've added a few of their albums to My Music in Amazon Prime. I'll give both albums a go before purchasing any discs.

Anthem, you should check out the Nels Cline album if you haven't already. I think it's right up your alley though it is a bit low key. I haven't made it to the second disc yet.
