Rick,

Right now my highs are a little rolled off, there is a bit of resolution/separation missing and focus is not as sharp. All of those were amazing when I auditioned all of the cables together, so at this point, the missing speaker wires are the weak link. I noticed previously that my highs were rolled off with the Belden speaker wire even with my less expensive cables.

In regards to the power cords, the best way to describe their sound is to say that it sounds like my gear is wired directly to the wall and that there are no power cords. The Pangeas seemed to have a laid back presentation. While the detail and depth was there, there was less bass and dynamics. The sound stage was also smaller. All of these are now improved by replacing the Pangeas.

More than anything, I would say that the Nordost cables are extremely neutral. They seem to completely get out of the way of the gear and the music. They don't add or subtract anything like many of the other cables I have tried.

Long story short, I'm getting there. Step by step. I'll continue to share my findings in hopes they will be h lpfulmto others.

Cheers,

T Cobe

Great cd...good sounding too.

Rick: Glad to see you finally got up. I hope you are having a Fantastic Sunday.

Hey, Anthem

Yes, I am awake.. got up at at 5:30 AM, my usual wake-up time. I've been monitoring posts all day. I really enjoyed the interchange between you and T Cobe about power cords, interconnects, speaker cables. Good stuff!

After a night of rain, a great beach day here. Lake water is upper 70's, perfect for swimming...

I ordered on amazon today what I hope is the the right gear to stream from my Blu-ray player to the SONY headphones.I really want to experience the Beethoven symphonies with better SQ. I'll post more on the Blu-ray thread in a couple days..

Happy listening!

Keep at it, T Cobe!

I read some reviews of the Nordost power cables, and one reviewer said that they "mature" with break-in time and get more open, natural as the hours played stack up.
