Something a little different this morning on "Currently Playing "

The C-Nuts - Blitzkrieg Bop and other Jazz Mutations (2000 Mapleshade)

Acoustic jazz-rock versions of hits by Peter Gabriel, Elvis Costello, Dire Straits, The Clash, The Police, Gary Newman, The Ramones, Pretenders, etc. The C-Nuts transform old rock hits into brand new ear candy. Recorded at Mapleshade Studio in Maryland.

Well guys,
It is Michael W. Smith again. "Worship". It is a Dvd in surround sound, and it just doesn't get old.

I am so impressed with full on talent in a HUMBLE person.

God Bless,
Wayne
God bless the child that's got his own.

Here is a wonderful Jazz album, from a favorite show of mine: HBO's Treme Season 2.

This evening, letting the stress of the day wash away while listening to "The Voice"
Vusi Mahalasela: When You Come Back.
This South African musician has a beautiful silky voice with a great band to back him up.

I wanna rip it, rock it, really bop it, flip it flop it, davy crockett, every time I hear that mellow saxophone.
What's playing this morning?

Mapleshade's Music Festival - (2001 Mapleshade)

Favorite tracks: Mellow saxophone (Chuck Brown) ; Nick of Time (Sunny Sumter & The Larry Willis Quintet)

This is a quote from the Mapleshade website:
Here are 13 of our best sounding tracks...everything from blues & R&B to Gospel & jazz. There's a single thread that connects all our artists... they're passionate about music. Modesty aside, it's doubtful you'll find another CD that melds such wide ranging music styles, creative intensity, & jaw-dropping, "there's a saxophonist in my living room" sound.
