Cloudy, cool, and blustery. The northern section of the state got 4 - 14 inches of snow. We lucked out and didn't even get a flake, but did receive a 1/2 in. of beneficial rain.

Listening to Yellowjackets / Run for your Life (1994) -- City of Lights.

Love this band...highly recommended cd.
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

I dug out my copy of this CD, somehow it got stuffed in a box with 'Alvin and the chipmunks' and other kid related music?????? good thing is I will send all the kiddie CD's to my daughter(now 30) who I used to listed to these with. She has a 5 year old, same age she was when we listened to it!!! Life comes full circle.

Yes I had to listen to Alvin on the T1's It's hilarious to hear the voices of the chipmunks squeak out of these speakers:)

This CD sounds FANTASTIC on this system. I am going to use this CD for the test I am going to do with the anticables. The dynamic range is incredible, the transitions from quiet to peaks is often and extreme. It's a good music test CD. I am going to listen to it several times to get reacquainted with it.

I may have to pick up a copy of Neon, I don't have that one. A friend "borrowed it" and I never got it back.....

Enjoy,
DT

Ain't this fun...owning GE Tritons is a Blast. Just finishing up a dapper set of tunes from Russ and his band.

The Rippingtons / Curves Ahead (1991) -- North Star.

I was talking on the phone to Stuart at my favorite audio place today, Audio Systems in Austin, talking about GEt speakers (they really like the new T2+ and T3+, and still think the top of the line remains the T1). I'm still thinking about adding a second pair of height speakers, and their advice is an Invisa, as is my inclination..

Stuart said one of his favorite "how good is the bass explorers", that lots of speaker shouldn't even attempt is James Blakes's "Limit to your Love".

So,... I streamed it on Deezer at FLAC quality, and yes, it surely wants some SERIOUS speakers playing it. Not my favorite kind of music. But if you want to hear what SERIOUS bass can sound like on SERIOUS speakers, give this one a spin.

Oh, and they have a Supersub XXL set up in their theater room with a GEt speaker assortment. I'm tempted to go and listen!

Careful, Rick, you add anymore bass and you may have to move your gear into the dog house...

Listening to Thickfreakness by The Black Keys. It sounds terrible...and I love it! It's just like being in a dirty garage, drinking a bottle of beer, and listening to a group of guys jam out on the pawn shop acquired gear. My T1s are putting out some serious attitude!

Cheers,

T Cobe
