Bobby McFerrin - Don't Worry, Be Happy. Jaco Pastorius, Ultimate Collection - Donna Lee and Barbary Coast. Followed by Johnny A, Sometime Tuesday Morning (whole album), and Return of the Brecker Brothers (whole album).

The new Emotiva Stealth DC-1 DAC arrived today. It took some fumbling and googling to get my iMac to actually stream over the USB, but once that was solved, WOW. The T7's are truly awesome in this room. The combo of the Emo DAC driving the Emo XPA-1Ls is amazing. I have to say that this little room with the T7s and the Emo gear might actually sound better than my big badass home theater with the T1s and T2s for pure music. In all fairness, the acoustics in this little room are much better. The Living Room has lots of hard surfaces and only one area rug, making it significantly more acoustically challenged. Anyway, the DAC is really a great way to play direct from a computer. Makes for a nice little preamp and sonically pretty damn near perfect. Jaco's bass nuances sounded exceptional, as did McFerrin's vocals. These T7s really blow me away for their price point. I can see (er, hear) why the critics rave.

Roman, welcome back sir, been missing your input here and these are two fine examples of new music we have missed from you.
I really liked that, will look for London Grammar.
Brad, glad you are getting your "other" system up and running to your liking!
The T7s aer awesome little speakers, and fed right, they must sound REALLY great!!!!
I was just one min before, listening to the music Roman posted, played on my crappy laptop speakers, and thinking I can imagine that there is really good sounding music hiding in there somewhere, but MERCY it really sounds like feces played on the laptop. So if you have gotten that mastered and then playing through T7s it should be a wonderful thing.
I hope you can treat your home theater room with some more absorption and perhaps reflection/refraction to make it better acoustically.
That room REALLY has a LOT more potential, r that system does!!!!!
Enjoy the music boys.
Thanks for sharing, God Bless, Wayne
God bless the child that's got his own.

Bonjour...fabulous Tuesday evening. Listening to Joshua Redman / Back East (2007) -- Mantra #5.

Dilettante: the Oppo with V3 pc sounds oh so fine on this one, dual soprano saxophones are used. Take this one for a spin on your T1's, let me know if the T1's do sax.
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!
