This evening I am listening to FELA. The innovator of the Aforbeat style of music. This is one of his early albums recorded in a rush while he was in LA in 1969. It may not be his best work, but it is very good. Anthem, you will love the Sax and other horns on this album...listen to it!

SanthoshEapen:

Thanks for the suggestion. Would love to but Amazon doesn't have a mp3 file on that album.

This morning I'm spending a few minutes with Gary

Gary Honor / Heads & Tales (2012 Trippin N Rhythm records)

These are tunes you feel with your hips & hear with your feet.

This is contemporary/smooth jazz, not traditional jazz. Give this one a listen, Wayne.

I am listening to Elbow, "Leaders of the Free World" It is new, just got it. As soon as it gets really going and gets loud, it sounds congested, I cannot follow all the different instruments.
I really need my Tritons.
I don't know if the problem lies with my system: electronics, my player, my cables or my Mirage speakers which will be my surround speakers in my home theater when built. Or with the CD itself.
Anybody know about the CD?

Bro. Anthem, I am not allowed as much sax as you. You young guys get to have all the fun.
Blessings,
Wayne

For those who have a surround sound setup, the TACET recordings are amazing. This is DVD-Audio. Very well recorded classical music, tastefully performed, but the awesome part is that they are recorded in surround sound, ALL AROUND THE LISTENER.
I am listening to Franz Shubert Octet in F Major. By the Camerata Freden.
I am surrounded by these wonderful musicians and I am standing in the middle directing them all. ha ha
Give it a whirl if you can,
Blessings,
Wayne
P. S. Here is why your rear surround speakers need to be good ones. With quality power. IMHO, surrounds should not be only for shish, boom, bang.
God bless the child that's got his own.
