My One.R’s and the rest of my GE’s are singing sweetly since I installed the ATI amp. I am enjoying my music much more than before. Now I am running out of music. Can anyone recommend some? Anyone using Roon, Spotify, Pandora, etc.?
Do you use a streamer or can I run it through my Oppo? Looking for high quality with some variety.

Hey Fred

Are you playing 2.0 music as 2 channel or via Dolby Surround? You have the perfect set up to try Dolby Surround if you haven’t already.

If you stream, I would recommend not using compressed music/MP3 sources like Pandora and Spotify, but look for FLAC 16 bit streamers like Tidal or Deezer HiFi. Your system will reward the better quality!
Another advantage of streaming is that you have access to a HUGE music library.

I stream Deezer through an upgraded Sonos system and love it, in Dolby Surround.

Happy listening!!!

Take a look at Tidal and Qobuz, too. Both are high-res streaming services that sound really good.

Hey, Fred

Moderator Dude is of course right on. Hi Res 24 bit is finally coming to music streaming. The 16 bit CD quality streamers are now starting to offer that. Deezer doesn't, yet. Both Tidal and Qobuz now do. Moderator Dude's post got me interested in the progress in that regard, so I got a trial subscription to Tidal, in part to check out their 24 bit library. At this point it's nowhere near as extensive as the 16 bit library, but that will change. I'll try some of their 24 bit stuff vs the 16 bit just to see what I think. Unfortunately, streaming it through Sonos to my GEt's reduces it to 16 bit, even with my Wyred4Sound upgrade good for up to 32 bit out in digital, and I don't have another streamer that can pass 24 bit analog to the receiver either, so I'll listen on headphones.

Whatever you choose if you go the streaming route, it's worth it to keep the 24 bit Hi Res option open.

Hi Rick. Trying Tidal now. I’m using it from my iPhone to Airplay on my Marantz. Not sure I’m getting the high resolution this way. Looks like Tidal has a lot of music to pick from. Maybe I will eventually need to get a music streamer. We’ll see.
