Hi Rick,

Thanks for the heads up. I have read my message and replied.

Progressing well. Took two walks today around our cul-de-sac.

Best,

Art

Good for you re the walk, Art!

Don't forget to give your ears some "exercise" also with some of your vast music library, and newly set up music room! :)

Hi Rick,

Music is a major part of my recovery. I am enjoying my system and library.

Now waiting for the college football season to get underway.

Best,

Art

Same for me! Will be rooting for U of TX, as a TX transplant. Now that you've moved to NC, will Alabama still be your favorite team to watch?

Hi Rick,

I have been a Tide fan since I first lived in Huntsville, Alabama in the early 1970s. I will root for Duke over here. Ironically, Duke plays Alabama in Atlanta this season, so I'll hang with the Tide for that game.

I have pulled for Texas from time to time, depending upon the game. I have no strong Big 12 conference preferences. I would have been a Razorback fan if Arkansas had stayed.

My overall sentiment is "bring on the college football season".

Best,

Art

Update:

Surgery was three weeks ago today. I am progressing well. Walking around cul-de-sac every day, climbing stairs at will, have gone out to eat and to visit our daughter, etc. Visited surgeon's office last Thursday for scheduled followup and got good report.

I can resume driving September 10 and full activities probably around October 25.

Lot's of time to kill daily, but music and upcoming football season help.

Happy listening,

Art
