Ignoring price, which is better for Atmos?

Hi cgott42, The Invisa HTR7000 is a better sounding speaker - and is better for Atmos. The 30 degree angle used with the HTR7000s allows you to aim the sound directly at the main listening position - which produces a greater Atmos sensation. You'll also want to place the HTR7000s a bit further away from the main listening position (than what is recommended by Dolby for Atmos speakers). Happy Listening!

thanks - how far should they be placed - my ceiling is 6'6" high :-(
Also - will they create the image that sound is coming from overhead (e.g. plane passing from behind and overhead) or just very high up on the screen (wall)?

Hi cgott42, With a standard 8 foot ceiling, I'd recommend placing the Invisa HTR7000s 4-5 feet in front of (or behind) the main listening position. The Invisa 650s work better when placed a bit closer - 1-2 feet in front of (or behind) the main listening position. Happy Listening!
