Hello Friends,

Trying to decide between Reference Center or Invisa HTR-7000 for Center channel (ceiling mounted).

No luck demoing both due to pandemic.

Room is rectangular 20 x 16 with 10' ceilings.

Viewing distance is 12-15'.

Rest of system will be T3+ or T2+ for Front L & R, Invisa 650 for Height L & R, Invisa 600 for Rear L & R, Dual SVS PB-1000 Pro.

Any thoughts on how different it would be?

Many Thanks.

Andrevi

Hi andrevi, If your center speaker needs to be mounted into the ceiling, I'd recommend using the Invisa HTR7000. The 30 degree angle built-into this speaker produces a convincing front sound stage, and it would work quite well with the Triton 2+ or Triton 3+ main left and right speakers. (The Invisa SPS is a great in-wall speaker, but when mounted into the ceiling as a center speaker, it wouldn't work as well as a Invisa HTR7000.) If, however, you're able to use a SuperCenter Reference as your center speaker (mounted on shelf or cabinet), this would be a noticeable improvement over a ceiling mounted Invisa HTR7000. The SuperCenter Reference would produce a greater level of openness, fullness, clarity and detail. Happy Listening!

Many Thanks.

Would the comparison be like a Triton 7 and Triton One R or maybe even bigger gap?

Hi Andrevi, It's tough to make a comparison relative to other speakers, however, the SuperCenter Reference is a good bit better than an Invisa HTR 7000. It might be fair to say the difference is in the same league as a Triton 7 vs. a Triton One.R. Happy Listening!
