I have a pair of goldenear Triton two towers, super sat 50 Center and rear surrounds. I am looking into adding Dolby Atmos to my set up. Goldenear has the invisa series which are in wall and in ceiling. I live in a condo and the walls and ceiling are pure concrete. There is absolutely no way I can install speakers in the wall or ceiling unfortunately. It seems that goldenear does not have upfiring speaker modules as they have stated that the sound from in ceiling is better for Atmos. I could purchase upfiring speakers from other manufactures but I think it will end up leaving my tritions looking like Frankenstein’s monster. Is there a way to install invisa speakers on the ceiling as opposed to in them? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Moderator Dude is best equipped to answer this....

My 2c worth in the meantime:

Don't mix speaker brands if possible. Voicing matching is dicey at best. And Invisa's as heights do their magic VERY well.

Boxes can be built to house Invisa speakers mounted externally. Moderator Dude would have more detail. That's the route I would consider.

Good luck with your project!

Why not pick up some SuperSat 3’s for mounting to the ceiling?
Triton Two front L/R
SuperSat 50c center
Triton Seven surround L/R
SuperSat 50 surround rear L/R
AVR Arcam AVR-21
Amp Marantz mm7025
Velodyne optimum 10” sealed, back left corner
SuperSub X front-right corner

Correct, the GoldenEar solution for on-wall/on-ceiling Height channel speaker is a SuperSat 3 (or horizontal 3C) mounted with a SuperSwivel. If ceiling mounting is not possible, mounting options that work include mounting on the side walls or front/back walls, close the ceiling and angling down towards the listening area.

Moderator Dude and Timecop have given you great advice. Supersat 3’s will do an admirable job.

The biggest difference between Supersats and Invisa’s is where the crossover should be set for headroom reasons. Invisa’s can play deeper into the base range for a little more oomph in that region....

But they’re right. The easiest installation would be Supersats.. and if you have bass support via the crossover to the T2’s, then the T2’s will pick up and play any bass differences.

I just happen to love the beef and oomph the Invisa’s can bring to height channels and can sense where the bass is coming from. But bass is bass. Crossovers move it to the speakers that can handle it best.

Don’t worry. All GEt speakers play together perfectly.

Supersats will do an amazing job for you!
