I currently have Two Triton 3 on my home entertainment system with two SVS PC12 Plus subwoofer running through a Denon X4000. For Zone 2 I removed the jumpers and am using the the amp section of a NAD 7250 (50 watt). Zone two is currently powering (2) sets of outdoor speakers and a set of in wall speakers in my living room. I have the speakers wired through a speaker selector and have volume controls for each set.

I am thinking of moving the Triton 3's to my living room and buying two Triton 5's for my home theater. Do you feel this is enough power and a good idea or do you think there is a better solution?

A pair of Triton 5s with the 2 PC 12 Plus subs would probably make for an awesome home theater. What center channel are you using? Additionally, a pair of T3s would be great for music in a living room. My guess is that you would improve the sound in both rooms this way. How do you like the PC-12 Plus subs?

Now, is there a better solution? That's a loaded question!

I have a SuperSat 50 and (4) SuperSat 3's. The SuperCenters may have been a better choice but I feel the SuperSat looks better on my wall. I like a clean look and have all my components behind the wall.



The SVS's are great. The T-3 do an OK job with movies but the SVS really finish them off.

You could probably even go with a pair of SSat 60s to finish things off in your room. The center channel really is the anchor for home theater. If you don't listen to a lot of music in your media room, you probably don't need the T5s. Just a thought.

If that's the case, you may want to audition the new T3+ or T2+. It will be harder to integrate a sub for stereo playback than using powered Tritons. Do you listen to music with a lot of low frequencies? Just something to consider.
