Speaking of ATOMOS. Ive noticed a few of speaker manufacturers are adding drivers on top of their tower speakers for ATOMOS implementation using reflected sound. Has anyone heard it done this way? Reason why im asking is it wouldent be all that difficult to seamlessly add a module to GE towers, removing the top and snapping it to the top posts that hold on the glossy cap.

Bottom line - if you want to ruin the sound of your Tritons, go ahead and put speakers on top of them. Add to that the fact that we don't agree with the Atmos-enabled placement, or the effectiveness of this dumbed-down application of the Atmos concept. And on top of that, the "bounce off the ceiling" concept only works in a very limited set of circumstances, as Dolby now admits and outlines in their Atmos information guides.

We think Atmos is absolutely great and Sandy and his team are working on alternatives to the in-ceiling applications we have available now (and that clearly give the best results). We'll keep everyone posted.

Thanks for the info,Shame the reflected concept doesn't work. Tho calling it a dumbed down application of the ATOMOS concept is a bit harsh. Lets face it, A soundbar is a dumbed down concept of the surround sound concept but they make those.

No disrespect intended, common description for products that don't fulfill the promise of the technology. And our 3D Array soundbars are most certainly NOT a dumbed down version of anything (although the category, in general, may well fit that description). :)

Excellent. Its nice to see someone else using GoldenEar speakers in ATMOS. I have been looking all over for some experience with it. Thank everyone else as well this is great information. I have contacted my local installer to see if he could move his SuperSet 50s into the main demo room with the T1s and XXL. So I could get a real feel for it. I think this with the invisa 650s is my most likely path right now.

Thanks so much.
