I believe he still listens to his Twos (they are seriously great, most award winning speaker in decades), but I'll do a GoldenEar speaker in-use check-up and get back to everyone.

How is the bass on the Fives and Two's? The frequencies claimed how are they measured?
How do they compare to RF7's bass?

The Triton 2's bass is great, for a tower speaker, it is THERE! I still use a sub with them for movies.
RF7s?????
Enjoy,

The Klipsch RF7 i mean haha.
And how low will it drop? I listen to chillstep and dubstep and the bass goes pretty low...

Thanks Restless, but I will have to hand this off to someone else.
I do not know that speaker, nor those "steps" ha ha
Hope you find what makes you happy on bass.

Restless,

The -3dB point on the T5s is 49 Hz. That's pretty good response. I'm not sure how deep your usual music dips but I believe there are measurements out there for the T2s as well. I believe the -3dB point is close to 20-23 Hz. I have no idea what the -3dB point is on the Klipsch speakers. The beauty of the GET powered Tritons is that you can adjust the gain knob to the desired level. I'm not sure I've heard of anyone yet that has buried the knob at max gain for normal listening.

If the T2s are similar to the T1s, all you have to do is hook up the LFE and set your electronics appropriately to get all the bass you need. I can't imagine any shortage of bass for music. My T1s generate a ridiculous amount of bass for music and movies and I have the gain at 50%. I don't believe the T2s are much less powerful. if you're more concerned about bass, the T2s are probably your ticket. Have you listened to them first hand?

Cheers,

T Cobe
