fopmc,

I like the SuperCenterXL. The midrange drivers reproduce vocals extremely well. I would most closely compare it to the Triton 7s and that is a compliment. When matched with two T7s, it would be perfect!

That said, I'd still like to see the GET team engineer a $1,500 to $2,000 center that would be much closer to a horizontal T1 or T2. A configuration that included a powered sub or four of the 6" drivers used in the Aon2s or Triton Fives with more passive radiators would be nice. Something that would better match the dynamics and overall capabilities of the Triton One for us home theater enthusiasts (man cave dwellers) would be greatly appreciated.

For now, the SuperCenter is the best you can do with the Triton towers. It will create an excellent and cohesive theater environment. It is an outstanding value with a price to performance ratio that is off the charts. To be fair, asking for a center channel to sound like a Triton One is a tall order but I think GET is up to the task! I hope this is helpful.

Cheers,

T Cobe

Hi Po,
Looks like you are getting great answers to your questions in both threads, the guys here are VERY helpful.
Good to have you with us here.
I have the T2s in a similar sized room as yours with the SC X as well. The T2s are certainly not too big, I wish I could tell you how the Triton Ones sound there, but cannot.
The SC X is great, I love it, the XL should just be better yet.
Go with the biggest/best speakers you can. You will have them for a very long time and enjoy their music, even if you move house and get a bigger mancave.
If you go with the Triton Ones you may not need a sub at all, I have the FF5 with my T2s as I love bass.
Hope this helps and please let us know what you decide and how it sounds. This is FUN after all.
Happy Listening, God Bless,
Wayne

Wayne,

Thanks for joining in. Po had some questions pertaining to hooking up 4 powered Triton and additional subs. Can you share how you have your system wired? Thank you very much. I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip!

Cheers,

Hi T Cobe,
We have been over this in many threads and really I do not have it set up well enough to brag about. I am hoping to get it set up very well when I get back home and put the XMC-1 in my system.
You guys hang in there. I will report when and if I ever get it set up right.
God Bless,
Wayne

Okay Guys, thanks for your help! I bit the bullet and placed an order for a pair of Triton 1s.

I'll audition them later, call it a blind test, but I'm pretty sure I'll be smiling from ear to ear when I have them set up!

I'll be building my system slowly, but I may drop the idea of powered Tritons in the rear for the HT experience, unless I am convinced otherwise, but I am sure it will not be half the experience in the meantime... finger crossed!

Again deeply, Thank you!

Po

Congrats, Po! You've chosen wisely and I'm confident you will be smiling from ear to ear. The T1s are amazing. I can't wait to hear about your reaction the first time you play them in your environment. Hopefully the wait isn't too long.

Cheers,

T Cobe
