Hey DarkBlueDean,
I think you will love the Triton 7!!!!
I had to research your receiver, and yes it has enough power to play the T 7s well. 6 or 8 ohms is not an issue, will not cause you and trouble at all.
CNET rated your receiver very highly, but they did compare it to a 50 wpc Marantz and said the Marantz seemed to have more power. So that 150 wpc rating might be a little bit inflated, they usually are.
I think you will have a winner, and perhaps in the future you might want to upgrade to more powerful amp(s).
Let us know what you decide, we all love this stuff. And enjoy the music,
God Bless,
Wayne

DarkBlueDean wrote: Is my receiver enough to power the T7? Should I get a better receiver or add an integrated amplifier to power the T7?

Also, a little off topic, can I connect an 8Ω speaker to a 6Ω amplifier or receiver? Vice versa?

Thanks in advance guys!

The receiver will be fine, the Triton Sevens are easy to drive.

Short answer to your impedance question is yes, no problem.

You mentioned that you also have one of the Andrew Jones center speakers as well. I think once you get the Tritons you'll prefer them with a phantom center over the A. Jones center (great budget speakers, btw!) because of how well GoldenEar speakers image; love those ribbons.

That way, you'll also be able to ease the burden on your receiver allowing you to drive you system a little harder. :woohoo:
