HI all, I'm slowly getting into computer based music in my living room. The room is 13' x 15' x 8' total of 1,560 cu. ft. I'm now using an old JVC surround sound receiver rated at 120 w/c 8 ohms 20 Hz to 20 kHz to run my Aon 2s. I would like to replace this older receiver with a stereo receiver or integrated amp. I like listening to my music very loud in my living room.
The question is which one?? I'm looking at a NAD C356 BEE rated at 85 w/c at 8 ohms 20 to 20, 000. Also looking at the Outlaw Audio Receiver 2150, 100 w/c and a few others. I live in a small isolated closest city 2,5 hours away and only Future Shop. I read reviews and shop online and by phone.

Is the NAD powerful enough???

Recommendations???

Thank you,
wawaron

I think the NAD would be great with the Aon 2's, very good sounding amp. One of the high-powered stereo integrated amplifiers we've used is the Anthem I-225, if you're looking for bigger power than the NAD.

Hi, thanks for the prompt reply. I think I will go with the NAD 356BEE. The Anthem I 225 is a great stereo receiver but out of my price range but that being said I am shopping around to find a used or demo one. I own an Anthem MRX 700 in my Home Theater Room it powers my Triton Twos and SS50.

Once again thank you.

You're very welcome, the NAD is a great choice - it will sound spectacular with the Aons.

There as been a new development since my last post. I've been contacted by an Anthem retailer with a very enticing offer so I will probably go with the Anthem I 225, never have enough good clean power.
