I installed my TV on a recessed MantelMount (tv pulls down and out over fireplace). I should have asked this question prior to installing, but due to the minimum clearance requirement I could have installed it with 0.5” clearance or 2.75”. I followed the requirement and went with 2.75”, and now it is a little bit of a visual annoyance. Does it actually make much difference in sound to have the sound bar mounted within the minim7m clearance spec? I can still go decrease it 0.5” — it is only annoying because if I do move it closer to the TV then I will not have maximized my TV drop.

Thanks in advance!

Hi there,

The 0.75 minimum clearance is really so the keyhole slot mounting works. You can mount the speaker with less clearance with no sonic problems..
