Hi,
I have a supercinema 3d xl and I’m thinking of getting a new receiver that has Direc Live room correction.

Are the two compatible? Any issues?

Thanks!

Jim

Hi Jimbrowski00, and welcome here.
I have no idea how to answer your question, I hope somebody does.
Hate to see a post just hang out and dry though. ha ha
I have the Emotiva XMC-1 with Dirac Full, the upgrade from Dirac live.
And it works great with Triton towers and a subwoofer.
Do you have a sub that you are trying to integrate into your surround system? IF you do, the Dirac MIGHT help some.
But I sorta doubt it will make a lot of difference with a sound bar.
Not sure though.
Happy listening,
God Bless,
Wayne

I do have a set of subs and two SuperSats as part of a 5.2 system.

My concern is that Dirac coud cause problems with the sound bar since it does some tricks to widen its sound image.

From your manual:

Some new receivers and processors have Auto Set Up functions that use a supplied microphone to set levels automatically. If you don’t feel the channel balance is correct when the auto setup is complete, manually adjust the levels for the Left, Center and Right as indicated above.

And, as users on the forum will advise, we do not suggest the use of any room EQ system until after the system has been properly setup manually and auditioned for a few days. It is also likely that Dirac will get distances, phase and levels incorrect on the soundbar, due to the crosstalk cancellation drivers.

That’s what I’m worried about... I might try the demo of Dirac out to see what it sounds like with my setup.

Thanks!

Hi!

Is anyone using Dirac Live with T-Refs and XXL sub? I am using the Emo RMC-1L. Seems my bass is way less now. Thanks.
