Hello, I am a new member here. I will be building a ranch home, meaning that my in ceiling speakers will be though the attic floor. In order to minimise air leakage I would like to use a back box for my Invisa speakers, that I would be using for both surround and Atmos speakers. Does anyone know of available back boxes that fit these speakers?? Thank You!

The standard Dynabox fold-up enclosures are popular and work well. But any backbox will be fine as long as it has the minimum internal volume.

Thank You. Good to know the speakers will work well with a back box. Can you recommend one that is available with correct cutout size and volume for the Goldenear product? Klipsch makes some nice ones for their speakers, but I would rather use the GE speakers.

The cutout size is on the specs, the Dynabox I mentioned is a universal (for any round speaker), and aftermarket boxes all have appropriately sized cutouts.

BTW, we only suggest using a backbox if needed to mute sound to adjoining spaces. All the speakers are designed for no backbox. And if you care about how things sound, I wouldn't consider buying a speaker based upon the availability of a custom backbox...

Thank You. Yes I want to do this for another reason... ease of install of the speaker, keeping attic insulation away from it AND energy efficiency stand point, that is stopping air leaks through the attic floor which is the worst energy efficiency a home can have.

Yep, that's a good reason if it is a drafty space. No easier to install though, probably much harder. Might be easier and effective enough to just staple a few bats of insulation around them too.
