Hello,

I have a new theater speaker setup on order. This will consist of Triton 3+, SuperCenter XXL, SuperSub X and SuperSat 3's for surrounds. I have an Onkyo TX-RZ-3100 amp which has 2 sub outs. I am a little confused as to the best way to connect the 3+'s and the SuperSub X. Just trying to get things lined up so that I can order any necessary cables before the speakers get in.

Thanks for the help!

Hi, Stumpyid

Good choices!!!

I would connect the T3+'s on one sub out using a splitter, and the superSub X on the 2nd so you can adjust relative gain from each. Set the Tritons for best music sound, and then set the gains in the receiver for best LFE bass balance. If you can, I'd recommend placing the sub in back to further balance bass.

You're going to love what you hear!!!

Edit: and set the T3+'s as large

Any consensus on speaker cables as far as banana plugs vs spade terminals? Looking at ordering SVS Sound Path Ultra speaker cables.

Banana plugs...Spades can be difficult.
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!
