My current system consists of the following:
Triton 7 Fronts
Triton 7 Rears
Super Center X
ML Dynamo 1000 Sub
Denon AVR H4300 Receiver
(Supersat 50s to be added later possibly as height channels for Atmos)

I love how this system sounds currently but it seems to be lacking in volume and intensity especially when I watch movies. Is my current av receiver enough to power this setup or do I need an external amp? If an external amp is what is required...any recommendations?

Thanks

Hi Joshuaa,
You are putting together a great system there, it should really sound great with those speakers.
I think you are onto the right track, I would DEFINITELY go with at least a better amp(s) for the font left and right speakers.
You could add a good stereo amp, or two mono amps to those critical speakers first and that might free up enough power in the receiver to run the center and rears much more efficiently.
There are LOTS of great amps out there that will do the job for you and many are not that expensive, from Emotiva and Peachtree, NAD, MANY more.
Hope this helps,
God Bless,
Wayne

Thank you Wayne....any recommendations on how much power would be good in regards to an amp? I was looking at the Emotiva 2 channel amps and the 5 channel as well

Any of the Emo amps should be fine, 100 wpc of good, clean power will be fine, but I am a believer in you can never have too much power, ha ha.
Then, with better amplification, down the road when your budget allows, you can get a separate pre-processor and get an even better sound. Most of us have had to build up our systems a bit at a time.
Enjoy the ride,
All the best, God Bless,
Wayne

Before spending money on an external amp, make sure you are giving your Denon the best chance to succeed. Please tell us what the crossovers are set at for the various channels.
