Hey Moderator Dude and guys,
I know this is technically the wrong place, the wrong section but I have a quick question about the new SuperSub XXL.
It looks like exactly the sub that I wanted to buy, I SHOULD HAVE WAITED!!!!
You can balance a nickel on her while she is blasting away? My wife can't stay put on top of my FF5 when it is cranking, she keeps getting bucked off!!!! Sorry, that is obviously not true. Hyperbole.
But please just tell me one thing, and I probably can nurse my wounds and still say that the XXL is not the perfect sub for me.
Does it have a balanced input?
Thanks,
God Bless,
Wayne

No balanced input, you'd need an adapter.

Yes, the nickel trick was a lot of fun - and it was playing REALLY LOUD. Whenever the demo was done the room filled with people who came in from down the hall wanting to see where all the bass was coming from (about four times the output of a ForceField 5).

OK Moderator Dude,
Thanks for that. Now I know it is not the PERFECT sub for me. That is what I needed to hear so I could quit with the "wish I had waited".
IMHO a sub really needs to have a balanced input. I am already using an adapter.
Thanks,
God Bless,
Wayne

An XLR connector, like those on a mic cable. Three conductors (+, -, ground). Good for long runs of cable to avoid noise pickup. Common on professional sound-reinforcement equipment and many high-end audio amps and pre/pros.

Wow four times the output of a FF5! Does that mean you would need four FF5's to equal one SS XXL?

Is it four times more powerful across all frequencies or just part of the band?
So much music-so little time!
