I have the original Triton Ones as my L & R. I want to replace my Super Center XL with a Triton 1r giving me 3 Tritons up front. I am assuming the original T1's are no longer in production so the T1r is my only option. Eventually I will replace my T1's L&R with Triton 1r's giving me 3 T1 r's up front but for now just the centre channel. Just wondering if there are any issues combining different models?

Drivers must be updated but i dobt think there would be a matching issue... im looking to buy a Golden eat XL center though and very interested

All GoldenEar speakers play together perfectly, tonally and otherwise. I was a bit cautious about combining various models years ago, have since been amazed at how perfectly ALL the speakers play together.

My input would be, go for it! The 1.R and your front 1's will complement each other and blend in seamlessly. I have T Ref fronts, with the same Ref upgrades as the 1.R, and T1 surrounds , and the blend is perfect, seamless. Upgrading the fronts later to 1.R's will add another uptick.

Hi Dwight, There will be no issues with using a Triton One.R as your center speaker (along with original Triton Ones as your main left and right speakers). Even though the drivers are a bit different, the tonal balance or character of sound of the Triton One.R is quite similar to that of the original Triton Ones. This setup should sound awesome. Enjoy!
