What causes the Triton 2+ amp not going to stand-by mode automatically? Is the problem in the amplifier itself or in the "control module" on the back of the speaker? One of my 2+s goes to stand-by in about 2 hours and the other one sometimes in 7 hours, sometimes in 10 hours and sometimes not in over 20 hours.

When they're both powered up, remove the speaker wire and LFE cable (if used) and see if they each shut off around the same time. If yes, it's something in your electronics feeding a low-level signal even when it appears to be off. If no, one of the amps' auto shutoff circuits might be out of spec. It won't hurt anything so it's ok to use them as is. It will require an amp replacement to fix the issue.

Testing with only the power connected was the first thing I tried when I noticed the odd behavior.

I checked the power consumption and it is about 6 watts with the power on and <1 watt on stand-by. Now I have to figure out if the 5 watt difference is worth the hassle of getting it repaired.
