Since there can be all kinds of mixes of equipment and not all do work for the best, i want to recommend whats works magical as a combo for equipment:
- Source - Computer (Roon)
- DAC/Pre Amp - Mytek Manhattan Dac 2 (with network card. the card gives better sound that a high-end cable)
- Audio Research VT80 SE

Is open, neutral, holografic and has well, its got dunno that 'spark'

Just to give your an idea what would work...

I just thought I'd chime in on my system.
Marantz 8802a for movies/atmos as a preamp
PS Audio Perfect Wave mkII DAC with Bridge for streaming Tidal and I use this to go direct to my Bryston 4Bsst when I listen to two channel music.

Two channel - Very smooth and detailed without being bright and fatiguing, deep, wide soundstage. I have the speakers 9.5" apart and I sit 10" from them.
GoldenEar Triton Reference, GoldenEar XXL Center, Aon 2, Emotiva Airmotiv 6, Adam ax3, Epik Legend, Parts Express 15" sub kit, Anthem AVM 60, Bryston 4Bst, Crown XLS2500 X 2, Crown XLS1500 X 2

I've had a PS Audio Stellar stack (M700s/Stellar Gain Cell Preamp/DAC) with my Triton Reference Signatures for a year now. No-brainer good...and never mind that the PS Audio stuff is affordable to boot.

And with the money saved, throw in some Transparent Ultra (or better) speaker cables/interconnects/power cords for a truly big, solid, quiet, revealing presentation.
