Hi, Wayne, after reading your post had a question for you.
Have you listened to your Triton 2's with out an amplifier with just an AVR driving them?
If so did the amp make much difference in the overall sound or just volume level?
I had a set of 2's + SSat 50 and 30's for rears and was just using a Yamaha AVR to drive them all, and at the time felt there was just not enough overall volume or bass.
Since then I have moved on to several different brands and also added a Yamaha CX-A5000 and Emotive XPA-5 and a HSU 12" sub to the system. With these improvements I have really been wanting to get Tritons another try and after hearing about the Triton One's even more so.

Thanks

Hi Rustolem,
I have always run my Triton 2s and surround speakers with a separate amp. The lowest amount of power I ever tried was a 45 wpc tube integrated that I thought drove the Triton 2s well enough, but the side outputting (firing is not the right word?) bass panels of the T2s are powerful and the shock waves (I do love bass) hit the tubes and induced microphonic distortions. My room is not that big and I could not get the tubes far enough away from the speakers.
Every other amp I drove them with sounded fine. 50 wpc pure Class A was delicious!!! 100 wpc hybrid tube amp, GREAT (that is still driving my center channel now). But I settled on this baby, 200 wpc hybrid tube/transistor amp, the first 20 wpc is pure Class A. They are Vincent SP-T800 mono blocks.
I am sure power would make a big difference.
But the Triton 1s, now that is THE way to go!!!!!
If you get those babies, please report back and tell us how you like them.
I am SURE you will love them!!!!
God Bless,
Wayne

Hey thanks for the reply.. Yes I am really looking at getting a pair of the One's looking for a few more user reviews for right now.
I have moved onto 3 different speaker companies after selling my Triton's and I can honestly say that even though they were all progressively louder none of them had the clean sound of the Tritons.
With my XPA-5 will be 200 watts per channel, I can only imagine how much better they can sound along with my Yamaha CX-A5000 which for me did make a difference in the sound of my current setup when I added the Pre/Pro.

Thanks

Hi Rustolem,
The Triton Ones will be awesome and that is PLENTY of power.
My Triton 2s play LOUD, never even tested half of what they can do.
And I like loud music and movies.
You are on the right track, SURE.
Enjoy and report back Please!!!!!
God Bless,
Wayne
