The SuperSat 50C is listed as a "horizontal, center-channel-optimized version".
Could someone please explain to me what that exactly means?

I'm upgrading my center channel to a SuperCenter XL and want to repurpose the SuperSat 50C to a vertical surround speaker.
Will this present any problems?

Thanks for your help.

The tweeter on the SuperSat C models is mounted in the enclosure rotated 90 degrees in the horizontal position. I do not know if it is possible for you or your dealer to remount it vertically(or how difficult it would be). The Moderator would be able to answer that question?

Thanks MOBrien, correct. Depending on the vintage (some early production runs had the tweeter glued to the baffle board - and why not, they don't fail) the tweeter might be able to be rotated (the logo would be in the wrong place) but I am not sure the tweeter faceplate is exactly square. The grille logo would be in the wrong place too.

I'd suggest a trade in at your friendly neighborhood GoldenEar dealer for the correct model.
