Hi Gang and Hello Moderator,

For the first time since I purchased my Triton Ones years ago, I have a problem. The Blue Light on one of my Triton One Speakers is no longer functional. The speaker's sub amp is properly plugged in to a known functional AC outlet. I have removed the AC cord and re-connected it several times, both at the wall socket and at the speaker. A few seconds after I remove the AC cord, I hear a reasonably loud "pop" sound coming from the sub section of the speaker.

I have run a 40 hz test tone to the speaker. The sub amp appears to be functional. I can clearly hear the tone with the AC cord plugged in. When I remove the AC cord, the tone essentially disappears.

Seems likely to me that the Blue Light (Blue LED?) has failed, but the sub amp is still functional.

Comments? Additional troubleshoot suggestions? Repair options?

Huh. Looks like (?), er, sounds like (?) (How to say this without a pun... )

If you're getting a 40 Hz sound from that Triton, reinforced by the fact it goes away when you unplug the power, the amp is working. The crossover to the bass drivers is something like 100 HZ, so 40 Hz is definitely bass driver territory. No hisses, pops, loss of sound level, etc. either? If so, the amp seems perfectly functional.

That's a first for me, a failed LED light on Tritons, though I do replace LED lights on other device sometimes. GEt tech support and/or Moderator can shed more light I'm sure on options if having a light is important to you or they think there's a deeper problem..

I agree - likely amp is functional, but Blue LED might have failed. Surprised me too, when I looked behind the speaker and did not see the familiar Blue light.

Not critical so long as sub amp continues to function.

However, I would still like a visual indication that sub amp is functional. Not having the Blue light will cause me to frequently test the sub amp with my 40 HZ tone to verify that it is still functional.

I trust that the Moderator will see this message and respond promptly.

The Golden Ear Goblins have apparently departed overnight.

When I turned my system on this morning, the Blue LED is now lit on both my Triton Ones.

Perhaps the Moderator will see this thread and offer comments.

That's good news, Art!

Maybe your amp's electronics needed a full reboot with the longer overnight shut-off to discharge capacitors etc., to re set???

Mr receiver gets a little balky now and then, and a hard reboot usually fixes it, like lots of electronic gadgets including computers.

Yes, hard reboots are generally helpful - particularly with Windows computers.
