Since you also have a Marantz one question: GE recommends to turn off equalizers, etc for best sound.
When listening with my DAC over the power amps I think that's true.
When listening to the same music via the Marantz HEOS (for example with pure) it sounds like a walkman or kitchen radio from the 80's. If I then enable the audyssey for a flat curve (small rooms) with 0db it sounds much better but still not as good as with the DAC.
Is that similar for you?

What are you streaming through HEOS, is it lossless, or compressed? The same content you play via the PSA DAC? I now stream only 16 bit/24 bit lossless through a Bluesound Node 2i (the 7010 does not have HEOS capabiity). My experience with compressed/MP3 stuff is that it does not have the same dynamic range, seems dull in fact.

Re equalizing, I try not to, though do sometimes with stuff with shrill treble.

fwiw, connecting my Tritons by speaker wire and the LFE inputs work great on my denon IFF
you ignore/skip the 75 dB subwoofer matching step during the audysses setup (Tritons set to LARGE).
this lets the receiver pick the correct subwoofer level while preserving the correct Triton levels for
LARGE operation.

if you tweak the triton low frequency internal amps as required by the subwoofer matching step,
you will get virtually no low frequency output when in 2.0 mode.

no need for MAIN + LFE in this case

I am using Tidal. Since HEOS does not really support MQA the quality with HEOS is a bit reduced but it's not like 64 kbit internet radio but still a 320 kbit MP3.

As per the manual, Main+LFE would be double bass which was not recommended.
I will try to investigate further what is the best setting.

Do you have any recommendation for a track with 40-120 Hz so that I can check the bass?

Don't really get what you mean here...

When I do the Aud. setup, I can select what kind of speakers I have and then I do the measurements.
For that I set the triton LFE control to 12 o'clock.
Tritrons were set to large and sub=yes

it then comes up with recommended distances and volume adjustments. It also sets my BRX and SuperCenter Ref to large which was not recommended by the GE manual. I hence set them back to small but left the triton as large.

i'm quite surprised that you're not getting the subwoofer error message asking to tweak the triton LF volume knob down.
in my setup with the front sub output tied to the left and right tritons, and the rear sub output tied to a force field 4,
that stage complains my fronts are over 90 dB when at the 12 o'clock position.
