I go have a HT receiver. Marantz 7011. I had the Tritons on one of the two LFE outputs. The other LFE output was the SVS. So timing should have been ok. Dont get me wrong. There was lots of bass. Just wasnt as accurate. But I agree that timing coukd have been at play

To be clear, after more experimenting I like the dual SVS subs for LFE duty only. I’ve tried crossing the T1s over to the subs at 80hz and i do not like the result. I think the T1s do an excellent job incorporating their own low end. I just like the SVS subs for the LFE track in HT use. For music the T1s are better when run full range without the SVS subs.

So you just have the speaker wire going to the tritons by the sound of it? Then you have lfe going to the svs. You have LFE off in 2 channel mode then I assume. I probably should have tried it that way. I had the sub running even with music. Oh well! The Trefs have been fantastic for the few days I have had them. Still working on placement. Havent found the sweet spot yet :(

Exactly right. Speaker wire only to the T1s. SVS are set up for LFE only. With 2ch listening, I have the settings at Large for the T1s and no SW (so no LFE). I played with all the variations and nothing beat the T1s alone without the SVS subs for music.

Glad to hear that as I have found that most good home theater sub's just aren't fast enuf to sound good on music. My new home theater will be started in a few months-I'm moving my T1's from a dedicated music room as front L&R, rear will be T2's, center supersat xxl, and for the first time I'm going to try going w/o my earthquake subs, instead, I'm trying the LFE inputs to have the Tritons as 4 LFE subs-my Denon AVR has two sub outs so it will use audissey to eq the front and rears separately-so hopefully get impressive results. I've never heard as good stereo sound as I have from the T1's with appropriate acoustic treatment and I've owned many stereophile class A spkers. The plan is to use Auro 3d with a 2nd layer of height speakers for music and HT. I have only found great reviews for Auro 3d and it's upmixer for music, we'll see. In fact, I bet I'm one of the few folks using Auro with Tritons in a HT. I'll report on results when it's done- worst case scenario- I'll go back to full range with the lfe subs for HT and just run direct stereo for music to the front spkers.
