Hi, I had a similar problem recently - static sound and popping, etc. - I contacted a dealer thinking I had to bring the speaker in for repair, but they put me in touch with a support engineer at Goldenear - I’m sure the Moderator Dude can help do the same. We discussed on the phone and he sent me replacement parts which I installed myself today in fact. Seems to be working fine now, the replacement process was easy. Also the original GE 2s. I suspect some part of the amp goes bad...
Best,
Marty

Thank you Marty

Hi Wayne, is it possible for you to put me in touch with the Goldenear Support team. I can talk to them and check if I might be able to implement similar solution as Marty?

Cheers
Gaurav

Hi Guys,
Marty is probably talking Stateside, USA service with 110VAC parts.
So Gaurav, you will need foreign service with 220VAC parts.
However, it is all the same company, and hopefully the Moderator Dude reading here will chime in with help on what you need to do, who to contact, etc. But they are on a LONG holiday weekend over there in America.
My Thailand experience will be different than yours.
Hope you get help soon.
God Bless,
Wayne

Yeah good point, Wayne - the Moderator should be back Tuesday morning Eastern time zone, so Tuesday night for you guys I think - or you could try calling them Monday night your time? If that doesn’t work I can reach out to the guy I was working with to see if he can help but I’m sure their customer service will take good care of you : - )

Ha - Moderator Dude is 24/7/52...

Anyway, sorry for the troubles. You need to communicate with our support desk, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for assistance.

If you cannot get service in your country you will have these choices:

1) Send your failed electronics back to the U.S. for service (will only cost you round trip freight);
2) Purchase Replacement electronics for that speaker ($500 USD plus freight to you);

If you choose either you will need to provide the service desk with the serial number and the problem description and they will take it from there.

I called up the new dealer but seems there is no interest to service the customers who have not purchased speakers from them. Do you know any good Sound Technician who can help me in Singapore?

Cheers
Gaurav

I came across the same issue with the new dealer...sadly GE made a big mistake appointing them. Shouldn’t have given them exclusivity. I love GE products, but the new dealer has ensured I won’t give them a cent of my money.
