I recently went to a high-end Audio store in my local area. I was there to listen to the Klipsch RF-82 II Home Theater System, and after the store owner demoed that he said, “Have you ever heard the Golden ears?” To which I replied “Golden what?” Needless to say, “my socks were blown off TWICE, once when I heard them and 2nd when I saw the price for the two towers (Triton Two). On to my question; I was wondering if the YAMAHA RX-A810 AV RECEIVER would be a good match with these towers. I’m new to the high-end market and I’m on a limited budget. $5000 for the TV, receiver, Speakers (was looking for 5.1, but 2.2 sounded really nice, I also plan on running my Yamaha Clavinova (digital piano) CVP-505 thru these speakers as well.

The Yamaha receiver will do a fine job with the Triton Twos, they are extremely efficient. Can't speak to the piano but I'm sure that would be fine.

Thanks for the interest and the kind comments - they are incredible!

Did it! bought'em! I'm calling them the "twin Flat Iron triton towers." Should have them in two weeks. I'm looking at Audioquest for the speaker wire. Any suggestions? (none battery powered)

Thanks

Excellent, congratulations and thanks.

We have used Audioquest cables with excellent results many times, most recently at a dealer's Music Matters event in Sacramento and the system sounded marvelous. We have also used Tributaries and Cardas cables at show exhibits with excellent results. Perhaps other forum members have some preferences they can share.

Enjoy your new speakers!

I was thinking on getting the "transparent speaker cables" MUSIC WAVE, what do you think about those?

Thanks

I ended up going with the Audioquest Type 4 cable. It was recommended by the guy who sold me the tritons. Love'en them.
