All Sandy is saying is that a careful setup by measurement and ear may be better than electronic room correction. Those systems are not perfect and you might not care for the sound after calibration.

actually one of your dealers told me to run the audessy or ypao and let the system set my distance ,db,sizes ect as a starting point but then disable any pq adjustment it has made and then tweak manually from there to my liking the db distance ect

The dealer is absolutely wrong. If you have a tape measure and a spl meter you can easily set distances and levels. It's the Audyssey and Ypao EQ stuff that you most likely don't want and can't tweak.

lol I hear you .. So your saying is Get my spl meter and tape measure and do all the distances , measure by test tone and just manually calibrate those fields and dont even bother running ypao or any peq adjustments
