I am still waiting for my Triton 1s to arrive for my front channel, but wanted to hear those who have used the Triton 7 or Triton 5 for rear channels and what they think of such a setup. It's not a question of overkill, since I know some of you have although few have Triton 2 for rear channels.

My question really is how well the Triton 7 or Triton 5 might intigrate into such a system. I will also be using a single FF4 in the meantime and listen to how it sounds before adding a possible second!
i know some prefer the rear speakers to sit high and aimed towards the seating position, and if possible the Triton is not a good solution for this (I guessing there will be those who say, are you kidding me? :P )

So finally if the Tritons are good enough, is the smallest of them all I need?
My room is rounghly 11'x24'x 7.5'height.

Not so long ago I thought about driving four powered Tritons, but have since changed my mind, thinking that two T1 up front and two subwoofers with passive Tritons might even be possibly better.... I'm sure there are many solutions...

Thanks in advance for chiming in.

Po

Hi Po,
As you said, there are many solutions. I am using the T7s as my rear surrounds, my surround left and rights are T3s, so they are powered. BUT I feel that honestly the T7s are REALLY great for surround speakers. I don't need the T3s there, I just have them so why not use them?
When I have a 7.1 movie (wish there were way more of these) the T7s get full range sound and they do a VERY god job.
You are well on the right track IMHO.
Enjoy the movies and music,
God Bless,
Wayne

Wayne, it looks like you might be adding more T7s then :P

...but do you feel it needs any more than the T7s....like T5s, or do you feel they are really good enough since I will be adding on from scratch?

Thanks
Po

Po, I have not heard the T5s, but of course, they should be even better.
I already have 2 pais of T7s, they are wonderful!
