I am torn between triton (probably fives) vs aon 3.

Backstory. I own emotiva amp/pre and two SVS PB-2000. My bass section is not lacking in any regard considering my room hovers under 2000^3 feet. My old Boston Acoustics reference series are simply tired and need to be updated.

My question to all you experts is this: What am I getting from a full tower when I already have more bass than I know what to do with?

That is a good question and ultimately one only you can answer for yourself.
Every time I have heard the Aon 3s, I have loved them. Wanted them.
But when I heard the Triton 7s, the sound was that much better to me, AND I would not need to buy any stands either. To me, and I put my money where my mouth is, twice, I got two pair of the T 7s, they are the way to go!!!!
The Triton 5s may be worth waiting for, but IMHO, since you already have the bass, the Aon 3s would be great, but the T 7s or 5s either better.
I have always said, buy the best speakers you can afford, since they change rooms, systems, even homes WAY before they wear out.
IF you agree to that, and can wait for the T5s, then they would be a great answer.
Whatever you do, enjoy the music, the system building and please report back to us what you decide and how it works out?

If you're keeping the two subs I would suggest Aon 2s. If well integrated (crossover, levels, placements), the combination of the Aon 2s and the two subs should be spectacular.
