Ok. I have fished 100 ft of speaker cable, cut the ceiling holes & installed both HTR 7000's. I founds some pvc piping in the basement ceiling so had to adjust my speaker location. I ended up moving my seats back a bit to allow. Today I will connect speakers to preamp & test out the setup. More to come

I finally finished my Atmos HTR 7000 1 pair middle ceiling install. Had to adjust seating position to better fit the 30 degree fixed speaker angle. I watched "DEEP Water Horizon". The 3d audio impact was outstanding. The audio seemed to come at me from everywhere above & around. Very happy with the result. I can't imagine a 2 pair Atmos setup. It would be mind blowing. Will watch some more movies to get more familiar of setup capabilities. Also plan on watching some Blu ray music to check up mixing response.

Hey, Dwight

That's fantastic! Glad you're enjoying the height channel additions! Looking forward to your impressions of what up mixing does for music Blu-rays, even re watching prior formats that suddenly now have a height effect added.

Happy listening!

Ok I had an opportunity to listen to some hi res blu ray. The recording I samplied was an AIX (DTS. 5.1 with hi res 96 bit /24 hz that I upmixed to 7.2.2. In the recording setup it gives the listener the option of either "stage or audience" setting. I prefer the stage setting as you feel like you are amongst the artists with audio around you. Once I upmixed the audio to 7.2.2 I was shocked how much better it was. It intensified the artists presence as the HTR 7000's brought the performance closer to my mlp. WOW!

When I get home tonight I will sample other blu ray hi res recordings. Simply outstanding!

Thanks Rick for the "heads up" on blu ray music.

Cheers
