Charlie makes an excellent point. I have two powered rear subwoofers in addition to the powered subs in my Triton Ones in front. My listening position is near the center of my room. When listening to music with steady bass (such as piano, bass and drums jazz), I can move around the room and hear very different levels of bass, reflecting the null and reinforcement points to which Charlie refers.

I have limited opportunity to move my separate subs around and I have done the best I can to balance the bass response at my PLP. I would move them if I could.'
