Thank you T Cobe . Awesome suggestion. I have played with some of the tips and definately found the improvement as compred to my previous setup. One question, what would be the recomended distance from the wall and the speakers. As mentioned in the website, there should be as less distance as possible. And recomended is 4 to 5 max from wall. Is it ok to go with goldenear speakers?

Just a few follow up questions to see if we can help tweak things a bit. What crossover settings are you using for all of your speakers including the sub? How are your T2s positioned in your room? A picture or two of your space may help as well.

Using my Athem Room Correction on my AVM 60, I have found that my speaker placement of 36" from the front and side walls was causing a dip in my 100 to 300 Hz range, as well as some other issues. The only way I was able to address those without proper treatments was to place my T1s right next to the walls in each corner. While this helped tame my frequency response, my music seemed to loose some depth. I'm going to have to consult with an acoustics company and order some room treatments to achieve the proper balance.

A low cost product like the umik-1, linked above, may help you identify what is going on in your room. Room correction software can only do so much. Physically fixing the issues as best you can would be the best option for great sound.

I don't think it's a matter of right or wrong, but simply what sounds best to you in your environment. I think experimenting to find the best balance it the way to go. After I purchase my last pair of Aon 3s, I'll be investing in some room treatments from GIK Acoustics. I think I'll be able to get significant improvements with a modest investment. I'd like to get my frequency response as flat as possible without room correction, especially below 500 Hz. I'll definitely start a new thread once I get started. Please let us know how your experiments go.
