Hey there, new to the forum, received my Tritons just before christmas for the new studio I have built.
Room is isolated and treated (diffusers, bass traps, resonating panels, treatment in-walls).
Really cannot be any happier with these monitors.
They tell me immediately when sounds aren't sitting right, dynamics are wonderfully accurate, I master for vinyl a fair amount and I need to be able to hear small dynamic changes when I use compression.
Imaging is wonderful.
I`m able to make mastering EQ decisions very quickly, and it really hasn`t taken long for me (and my ears) to tune in to these things.

I`m just shocked at how accurate these things are. You simply don`t get this level of audio purity at this price in the mastering world, and I believe I am the first studio in the UK to be using Tritons.

I almost want to keep them a secret.

Thank you Goldenears and Sandy. Recent clients have been extremely happy with my mastering results.

SVoidloss,

Welcome to the forum and thank you for sharing your space and impressions with us. What a great space! I bet it sounds amazing. Looks like a great implementation of room acoustics as well. I have a feeling we may be seeing this picture on FaceBook in the near future...

Please share more of your findings and post some music to our currently playing thread. I would love to hear some music that was mastered on the T2s!

Cheers,

T Cobe

SVoidloss,
WELCOME to the forum!!!!!
It is great to heave you here and great feedback on the speakers we love. I too have a Triton 2 system,
and LOVE the sound!!!! Sure glad you hear the same and feel the same. That is just one more BIG (I
think someone mastering music like you are is WELL WORTH listening to) vote for GoldenEar Tech.
Please tell us more if you will, feel free to share lots here.
I would love to know what your amps are, look like tube mono blocks from what I can see?
Enjoy the music too, it is not just a job is it?
God Bless,
Wayne

The amps are custom made 30 watt push pull based around KT88`s

I`m also running QUAD QSP Elite until I decide what I prefer.

I`m leaning towards the QUAD, it`s super clean and neutral, which is what I need for detail work.

I`m really enjoying how unflattering these speakers are. They tell me when something is off even when we are dealing with stuff way under a quarter db, it will shine out immediately. It makes my job so much easier.

The downside to this is that stuff I previously considered to be competently mastered by other engineers I am now picking out productions problems and so on. Such is the life when your critical ear will never switch off.

Yes these are also wonderful purely for pleasure use.
As I am mastering all day, it really stops me from listening to music outside of work, however, since I put the Tritons in, now I find myself going back in to the studio with a book or a magazine and a cup of tea and just listen to stuff out of my rather large collection purely for fun.

I was playing some beautiful performances of Arvo Parts music recently, after work, and at one point I dropped everything, and was almost driven to tears by the music. Parts music is quite dynamic and also very emotional, and I was completely immersed in it.

Really I`m utterly committed to these speakers now, I`ve worked on all manner of mastering speakers and I can`t really say I recall anything outperforming (in a properly treated room) them.

I'm also interested in more details of your setup. Without knowing you or your work it sounds like your making money in the business and I think what speakers you are using to master is an endorsement of many of the qualities we all seek in speakers.
