Boggswade,

Welcome to the forum! Sounds like a fun set up. I haven't experienced Atmos in a home theater yet but am looking forward to it.

You've got quite a nice mix of equipment. With the T1s and two more heavy weight subwoofers, I'm guessing we have another bass lover here... There are several of us. I bet your set up sounds great! If you're willing, please post some pics and a little more info on your Atmos install.

Cheers,

T Cobe

T Cobe,

I do like balanced bass for movies throughout the room. The system is in my basement so there is a lot of space to fill. The Infinity Overture speakers actually have powered subs in them too so I have bass all around me though I have dialed it down quite a bit. The Tritons are set about 9:00 as an example. I have all of the Blu-ray Atmos movies and it is quite amazing to hear activity moving overhead and all around you. There is no need to go to the theaters anymore since this system sounds better to me.

Boggswade,

Thanks for posting the pic! I watch a lot of material in my basement theater with my four legged friends as well. I recently insulated the space between my floor joists and found it made a HUGE difference in sound quality. It tightened up my bass and got rid of some horrible bass bloat and boxy sounding vocals.

Your bass preferences make sense. I find the T1s provide more than enough LFE for me with my gain knob at 13:00 and LFE at -9.0 dB on my receiver. Based on others descriptions, I do find myself wanting a little more dispersion throughput my space so I'm considering integrating my Paradigm sub behind my PLP. When listening to 2-channel, I turn the sub output off and just use my speaker level inputs on my T1s. With these settings, I get more LFE for home theater and nice, clean bass for music. I find I enjoy my music with a bit less bass than home theater. The T1s are extremely flexible when it comes to setup. You have a lot of set up flexibility and little tweaks can make big differences. Happy listening!

Cheers,

T Cobe

I really like the opening sequence of Transformers. There is a lot of activity from the dinosaurs running (good workout for the subs) a waterfall and then planes flying overhead. American Sniper and Gravity are also pretty incredible.
