Hi Folks

I'm new to Golden Ear, and have just ordered the 1's having heard the 5's at a mates place, and the 1's at the dealer. This is strictly a two channel system, and the 1's will replace an 18 year old pair of Dynaudio Finale's (full range kit speakers) which have served me well.

The rest of the system is:

• Toshiba laptop running Jriver20
• Homebrew sliver interconnects into;
• Lampizator Level 5 Gen 5 PCM and DSD DAC with volume control with silver interconnects into;
• Perreaux 250P power amp (250W/8 400/4) with OCOS speaker cable into the speakers

The 1's should be here in the next couple of days. Can't wait!!

Welcome to the GE world. You will have a blast setting up your Ones when they arrive. If you have unpacking concerns, search this forum for a set of unpacking instructions I wrote after I finished unpacking my Ones. Beware, they weigh almost 100 lbs each in their packages, so having a mate to help might be beneficial.

I am mainly a 2-channel listener as well. You can find several threads on this forum I have started which are related to my thoughts about setting up for 2-channel listening.

Yeah, chcmuzza, if you liked them in the store, you'll love them at home. I think this would be even more applicable for someone in your shoes with all the other squares filled. You get your electronics and listening environment that you're used to and sound good to your ear and then add the magic of the T1s.

Please elaborate more when you are able to break away. Time has a way of slipping away once you start listening to the T1s. Happy listening and rediscovering your music collection!
