I just bought the kimber Select 2416 copper 1.5 meter USB cable that cost me $700 CAD, and worth every penny.

I highly recommend you listen to a well made inexpensive cable in a A/B comparison with the $700 Kimber.
if so, it is crucial that you have someone change the cables for you, as this way there is no placebo effect.

We kept a chart with answers and the results were unanimous, and this if with guys that own TOTL Maggies, Wilson, and Martin Logan.
(plus me with my little ol Triton Ones !!)

The Audiophile in me really wanted to hear differences in USB cables to justify my expenditure, but nada.

I totally hear you and you may be right, but as audiophile jewelry they sure look great. And they make me feel tingly inside.
